10 Minutes Max 2010

Dance Umbrella will present its annual showcase of new works by local and Texas artists in 10 Minutes Max. Over 80 artists will share the stage at the Carver’s Boyd Vance Theatre in four different programs. From solos to large groups - dancers and live bands - flamenco to tap - fusion and modern – exploration and interpretation – premieres of new works to premieres of new Austin dance companies, 10 Minutes Max has something for everyone! Performances are Thursday and Friday at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., August 19th – 21st. More information and tickets is available online at danceumbrella.com.

    Four nights of some really, really good work. I always sit in that dark theatre watching and get overwhelmed with a feeling I have no words to express. I just know that it is something very special - and it overwhelms me.
