Vincent Mantsoe Returns to Austin

To those of us that witnessed his elegance in 2005- 2006 this is a long-awaited return. Vincent will be showing two new works at Stateside and trust me it will be money well spent!

If you saw his show before, please add your comments. I hope we are able to fill the Stateside for one evening - Sunday, September 23rd at 7:00 PM. Tell your friends and fellow dance aficionados, or anyone who would like to witness this rare experience. Treat yourself to something special!

I recall the joy and awe I felt as I left his performance the last time. It's what I love most about my job at Dance Umbrella - sharing these global treasures with our local community - hopefully it will inspire us all to continue to do what we love, to infuse our passion and commitment to this art form that is so taken for granted.

Words on Dance

International Dance Day is approaching, April 29th. Feel free to add your thoughts, perspectives, ideas and musings about dance.

“Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm of your life.
It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy.”
~Jaques D'ambroise
